I've replaced and so many hdmi ports. I've never personally had one go bad. Worst was a client who had the port stop working merely institute out he could get it to work past wrapping the cable around the organisation. I presume that's why when I got it off 3 of the pads were missing. Ran jumpers for two of them and the other was only a ground so I could skip it.

I know the first PS4 revision had real bug with the hdmi port breaking. But beyond that? bewildering.
