Is Tweaking Windows Repair Safe

I have read about this Windows repair package on the spider web and still don't know what benefit it is and whether it is an official Windows program and safe to run.

Can anybody please explicate ?

The tools are safety and effective. Non by Microsoft itself of course, but information technology volition fix MS issues or problems.

I have used these in the past to solve problems such as Windows Updates and more.

The tools are prophylactic and effective. Non by Microsoft itself of course, but it will prepare MS problems or problems.

I have used these in the past to solve problems such as Windows Updates and more than.

Also see Winaero - At the edge of tweaking for more.

Thanks - I accept Tweaking.com and Winaero Tweaker on my desktop but not used them.

And its on bleeping computer downloads HERE and Grinler has selected information technology to repair windows.

I have used it without clean install of os.

I have used this particular software, with caution, to attempt to fix a specific problem. It is non an official MS production. For example, I used information technology to successfully set a Windows 7 error I was having where updates would repeatedly download, and fail to install, ad infinitum, for several months. I take also managed to mess up a system by running "Run All Fixes" - which resulted in some very odd results (starting with a 40 minute kicking time) and required restoring the arrangement from a backup. I would definitely not recommend running it equally some kind of regular "maintenance" where there are no specific issues. With certain precautions (backup of registry, full system backup) I retrieve it may be used to try to solve specific issues.

The Windows AIO tool is fine for utilise in trying to prepare basic Windows problems, information technology is not intended to be used for anything else and the thought backside it is to give entry level users a chance of being able to set up their ain problems without having to do a make clean install of Windows.

Never seen anyone that has correctly followed the user guide have any trouble and the programs use would in no way be suggested if it contravened any BC rules.

Its a brilliant program,..if used properly,..Shane is a brilliant,program writer,imo,..and the program has some very usefull functions,..first recomended on B.C,by,..yup,..me:-),..so many yrs agone,i deceit call back,..back in xp days,i retrieve..

Its a circuitous programme,with a lot of functions,.the free version does loads...it does have congenital in safeguards,like registry backup,and restore points,before it does anything,..all ive used it for latelly,is reg backup,..and cleaning the retention ocasonally,later on long sessions with something(yes it actually does work),..

i dont recall in all the yrs ive used information technology,its e'er caused a problem,..just back up the registry and make a restore point before you use information technology for anything,..

I havnt looked at the forums fr ages,just Shane is always around and ever ready to offering assistance,..

this ones likewise in my toolbox,and has never given me anything but good results..

Non lately John we have in the past two weeks had many problems. I tested my backups and discovered they were correct, problem with the user profile and being logged into a temp profile y'all need to just practice information technology once again (as suggested by windows), to fix the problem, it indicates that MS are moving too fast for the developers on security grounds, yet equally a backup even exporting the windows registry has become problematic, I hope tweaking.coms reg backup is updated shortly to fix this issue. I always recommended information technology.

Which leads me to mention that virtually registry bug, apart from the obvious (malware software) occur to the active user profile this makes the quondam regback invaluable, but fixed a number of machines thus affected by using it, information technology can be restored after some idiot at MS thought he would salvage some time at boot by deprecating information technology.

To do so open an elevated cmd prompt and copy paste:-
